Appalachian Cabins

I love taking my dog Sirius to cabins in the Appalachian mountains. In cities I prefer to stay in hotels, but AirBnB is great for cabin rentals.

Everything's better when you have a dog with you. Also more inconvenient, but shhhh.

There are all sorts of cabins you can rent: proper houses, tiny houses, A-frames, etc. I appreciate the variety and that no two have been the same.

We always try to do fun hikes or waterfall trips when we stay in cabins, because we are that much closer to nature! I've gotten to visit Daniel Boone National Forest, so many new state parks, historic villages, universities like Berea College and just seen a lot of off the beaten path Americana spots on the cabin stays.
